Founded in 2004, the Yonsei Delegation for Model United Nations (YDMUN) is a student-led organization under the Leadership Center of the Institute for Global Engagement & Empowerment (IGEE) at Yonsei University. YDMUN aims to deepen understanding of international organizations and cultivate future leaders in global affairs. As of 2025, the 21st and 22nd delegations serve as active members.

YDMUN is the only Korean representative team officially recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to participate in international MUN conferences. Since 2005, YDMUN has proudly participated in the National Model United Nations Conference (NMUN) held in New York. YDMUN has strived to elevate the status of South Korea and Yonsei University on the international stage and has consistently demonstrated outstanding global competency, as evidenced by numerous awards. This year, YDMUN has continued its excellence, winning the Outstanding Delegation Group Award and the Best Position Paper Award in the UNEA Committee.

Since 2008, YDMUN has hosted Yonsei Model United Nations (YMUN), Korea’s largest university-run MUN conference. Building on NMUN's experience, YMUN aims to provide a forum for critical discussion on global issues and share the spirit of diplomacy with young students. In addition, YDMUN has organized the MUN Vision Workshop partnered with the Seodaemun-gu District for three consecutive years, introducing local youth to international challenges and negotiation through online and offline sessions.

Amidst global uncertainty and conflict, we believe that the key to change lies in the light each and every youth carries. When these lights converge, they illuminate new paths toward solutions and transformations. YMUN 2026 aspires to be the gathering place where the brilliance of individual lights intensifies as ideas meet and voices unite. We look forward to welcoming participants whose passion and vision will spark hope and leave a lasting mark on the world.

2004년 발족한 연세대학교 모의유엔총회 대표단 (YDMUN)은 연세대학교 글로벌사회공헌원 (IGEE) 리더십센터 산하의 학생자치기구입니다. YDMUN 은 국제기구 및 국제사회에 대한 이해를 높이고 향후 세계 무대에서 활동할 국제관계 분야 전문가로서 역량을 키우며 국제적인 네트워크를 구축하고자 결성되었습니다. 2025년 기준 선배 기수 제21기와 후배 기수 제22기가 활동 중이며, 매년 3월에 개최되는 NMUN 참가를 기점으로 임기가 정해지는 기수제로 운영되고 있습니다.
 

YDMUN 은 외교부가 공식으로 인정한 모의유엔총회 참가 자격을 가진 유일한 한국 대표로서, 국가를 대표하여 뉴욕 유엔 본부에서 개최되는 국제모의유엔총회 (이하 NMUN)에 출전할 자격을 가지고 있습니다. 2005 년부터 유일한 한국 대표로서 자부심을 가지고 NMUN 에 참가해 왔으며, 우리나라 그리고 연세대학교의 위상을 높이고 개개인의 능력 또한 향상하기 위해 노력했습니다. NMUN 에 참가하는 수많은 국가의 학생 중에서도 최고의 두각을 나타내며, 다수의 수상 경력을 통해 입증되었듯, 탁월한 글로벌 역량을 선보이고 있습니다. 코로나로 NMUN 이 취소된 해를 제외하고는 매년 NMUN 에 연속적으로 참가하며 언론에도 여러 차례 보도되는 등 연세대학교와 리더십센터의 명성을 드높여 왔습니다. 특히 올해는 작년에 이어 NMUN 2025 단체 1등상 수상 , 국가 입장문 상을 유엔환경총회 위원회 (UNEA)에서 수상하는 등 YDMUN 최고 성과를 계속해 나아갔습니다.
 

2008 년부터는 NMUN의 경험을 바탕으로 국제 사회의 현안에 관한 토론의 장을 마련하고 생생한 경험을 청소년들에게 전달하고자, 매년 1월 국내 최대 규모의 대학교 주관 모의유엔총회인 연세대학교 모의유엔총회 (YMUN)를 개최하고 있습니다. 2023년 여름부터는 서대문구 모의유엔 사업 기관 공모 과정에서 대학생 단체 최초로 사업 집행 기관으로 선정되어 3년 연속으로 'YONSEI X SEODAEMUN 모의유엔 비전 워크숍'을 주관하였습니다. 모의유엔을 처음 접해보는 서대문구 청소년들을 대상으로 단순 모의유엔 절차를 넘어, 지속가능발전목표 (SDGs) 와 국제 이슈를 대하는 시각을 기르는 온라인 교육과 오프라인 세션을 진행했습니다. 의제에 대한 토론과 더불어 갈등과 타협을 거쳐 결의안을 도출하는 활동을 통해 협동심을 함양한 글로벌 리더로 발돋움 할 수 있는 모의유엔 총회를 진행했습니다.

갈등과 불안이 만연한 세계 질서 속 어둠을 이겨낼 수 있는 방법은 개개인이 품고 있는 고유한 빛에 놓여 있다고 생각합니다. 빛들이 모이고 연결될 때, 해답을 모색하고 세상을 변화시킬 수 있습니다. YMUN 2026 은 그 수많은 빛들이 모여 더욱 발전할 수 있는 장을 마련하고자 하며, 여러분의 도전이 이 세상을 밝히는 희망이 될 수 있기 위해 부단히 노력하겠습니다.
