What is the Press Committee?

 

The Press Committee combines the MUN experience with the vibrant nature of journalism. The Press Committee will allow participants to gain hands-on experience as a prospective journalist by gathering resources, conducting interviews, taking photos and writing articles to be placed in a newspaper form. Their main responsibilities will include reporting on the background and proceedings of the sessions as well as getting the insider’s scoop of the YMUN community.
 

The Press Committee will consist of different groups, in which each groups will be required to produce journalistic pieces. Each member of the groups are expected to take on different committees (GA, GAII, etc.) and reflect the opinions of the YMUN participants in their pieces. Topics will not be limited to the actual sessions themselves but will also cover the daily lives of the participants as well as cultural pieces.

Members of each group are expected to work together as a press group to cover the proceedings of the conference and the voices of the YMUN community in a precise and original manner. Awards will also be provided according to productivity and cooperation (see Press Committee Awards Policy).

 

 

 

YMUN 보도국이란?

 

YMUN 보도국은 저널리즘의 특성을 MUN에 통합하는 색다른 면모를 보여줍니다. YMUN 보도국은 각종 정보를 수집하여 기사를 작성하고 인터뷰를 실시하는 등 예비 저널리스로서의 경험을 쌓을 수 있는 기회를 제공해 줍니다. 보도국의 주요 임무는 신문이라는 형식을 통해 각 위원회에서 진행되는 세션의 진행상황을 보고하고 YMUN의 내부상황이 이번 테마에 맞게 진행될 수 있도록 정확한 방식으로 보도를 하는 것입니다.

보도국은 몇 개의 그룹으로 나뉘어 각 위원회 (GA, SC 등)에 배정될 것입니다. 그룹원들은 각 위원회에서의 의제 진행 상황과 더불어 참가자들의 목소리를 대변하는 역할을 하게 될 것입니다. 보도의 주제는 단순히 회의 내용으로만 제한되지 않으며 YMUN 참가자들의 이모저모와 문화적인 요소까지 다룰 예정입니다.
