The YMUN Press Committee presents a number of awards for outstanding performance to members of the Press Committee. YMUN Press Committee accords three awards: Best Press, Outstanding Press, Honorable Mention, in descending order of rank. Only one award will be granted for each rank. These awards are presented based on accomplishments in writing, reporting and creativity, as well as final editing. The award determination takes place over the course of the three days, with considerations to both group and individual efforts to ensure fair and objective consideration to all candidates. The candidates are evaluated on their performance regarding the following factors:
1) Understanding of Positions and Topics: Well-defined purpose of report and clear indication in significance of the subject matter.
2) Quality of Writing and Presentation: Proper grammatical use, interesting layout of the information, and readability.
3) Substance of the story: The depth and quality of the research, consultation process, analysis, and presentation of the information in the final product.
4) Creativity and Originality: Unique, skillful, and ingenious presentation of information in accordance to distinctive approach in subject matter.
5) Collaboration: Overall cooperation within each group in creating well-balanced final product.
As this list makes evident, every form of participation and contribution is included in the ultimate appraisal. Constant engagement, effective contribution and active participation are required of awardees.
Each candidate is required towrite at least one paper or article to include in the final product regardless of position. Cooperation within the group and diligent individual effort are required of awardees. Failure to oblige may result in a decrease in individual effort score. Evaluations will be taken within the group on the second night to determine such factors.

YMUN Press Committee는 순위에 따라 세가지 상들을 수여합니다: Best Press, Outstanding Press, Honorable Mention. 각 순위에 따라 단 하나의 상이 수여될 것입니다. 상은 마지막 편집뿐 아니라 글쓰기, 취재와 창의성에서의 성취도를 기반으로 수여됩니다. 수상의 결정은 3일 간의 기간 동안 행해지며 모든 후보자들에 대한 형평성과 객관성을 보장하기 위해 그룹 차원과 개별 차원의 노력들을 심사합니다. 후보자들은 아래의 요소들을 기반으로 평가됩니다:
1) 입장과 주제에 대한 이해도: 분명하게 드러난 기사의 목적과 주제의 중요성에 대한 명확한 지시
2) 글쓰기와 표현력의 질: 적절한 문법 사용, 정보에 대한 흥미로운 레이아웃, 읽기 쉬움
3) 내용 상의 구성: 조사, 협의 과정, 분석, 최종 결과물에서 얻을 수 있는 정보의 표현력
4) 창의성과 독창성: 독창적이고 능숙하며 정교한 정보에 대한 표현력
5) 협력: 균형 잡힌 최종 결과물을 창조하는 과정에서의 각 그룹 내에서의 전반적인 협동
위 요소들이 명확하게 제시하듯이 모든 형식의 참여와 기여도가 궁극적인 평가에 포함됩니다. 지속적인 관여, 효과적인 기여와 활동적인 참여가 수상을 위해 요구됩니다.
각각의 후보자는 적어도 하나의 보고서나 기사를 지위에 상관없이 최종 결과물에 포함시켜야 합니다. 그룹 내에서의 협력과 개인의 근면한 노력은 수상에 요구됩니다. 위 사항을 준수하지 않을 경우 개별 점수가 감점될 수 있습니다. 평가는 그러한 요소들을 결정하기 위해서 두 번째 밤에 그룹 내에서 이루어집니다.
